I, as a Community Development Long Island (Section 8 Voucher holder), was experiencing a difficult time finding someone who would accept and be willing to take my Section 8 Voucher. After many attempts using search agents such as Zillow, Apartments, and speaking to many real estate agents. I found that no one wanted to help me, and I was ready to give up. After another month of attempts, I found Lisa through another real estate that knew she had experience with Section 8 Voucher tenants who hold these types of government programs. In my initial meeting with Lisa, she asked the right questions, such as the location, family size, expectations, and how the CDCLI program works. I was also very surprised by how quickly she was able to emailed me apartment listings and schedule apartment visits. I was also on a deadline and needed to ask for a transfer as soon as possible. I was experiencing maintenance issues, infestations, and neighborhood safety issues. Lisa understood my situation, and she delivered. Today, I have a month and a half in our new place. I haven't had any housing problems and feel safer. My daughter and I are still settling in. I want to take the time to thank Lisa Kayola for making this happen and helping me achieve this goal.
